We went from the classics from the king of rock (Elvis Presley) to the annoying voices of Rebecca Black and Justin Bieber. Now most people aren't worried about if the music is good or even decent today it is who is popular. If they are considered "popular" the they are listened to by everyone.  Music used to be show what someone was feeling, it ment something to someone in the world but now as long as you have a catchy phrase such as "Call me Maybe" and you look good on a magazine or album cover then you are in. To me music is everything, a single song can change my mood in an instant; and for those kids out there like me they enjoy the lyrics and the beat of artist like Kate Voegele, Bryan Greenberg, Charlene Kaye, Jana Kramer, Angels and Airwaves, Patsy Cline, and Gavin DeGraw. I was lucky growing up because my mom made sure that I was very musically rounded so I have a different appreciation for music than most people do. I just hope others are that lucky.
